Meet Our Staff
Bill Spellings is the President and CEO of Spellings & Associates and founded the company in 1996, after thirty-three years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During his career as a Special Agent with the FBI, "Spellings" as they called him, handled a multitude of various criminal cases including bank robberies, organized crime and espionage. While assigned to the New York Field Division, he began his career in Electronic Surveillance as a Field Operative. His many years in this capacity, which included foreign travel, provided him with wide ranging experience and expertise in the field of Electronic Surveillance and Countermeasures. The last fifteen years of his career included managing teams of technical specialists at the Washington, DC Field Division and the Engineering Research Facility (ERF) in Quantico, VA. His responsibilities included oversight of the technical operations of many high-profile criminal cases.
Melissa Daniels MBA, CFE
SVP of Investigations and Operations
Melissa Daniels is the Senior Vice President of Investigations and Operations for Spellings & Associates Inc. She has extensive experience with identifying illicit financial activities and investigating bank fraud, mortgage fraud, money laundering, embezzlement, and organized financial crimes. Melissa has managed internal investigations and obtained numerous confessions from employees in a corporate environment who committed financial fraud against the organization. She has a strong collaborative relationship with state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies and has aided in the prosecution of white-collar crimes.
Melissa holds a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice from Radford University and a Master's in Business Administration from Strayer University where she graduated with honors. Melissa has also completed training with the John Reed School for Interview and Interrogation and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
VP of Technical Operations
Robert is the Vice President of Technical Operations for Spellings & Associates. He is responsible for overseeing the Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) division of the company. He has spent seventeen years with the company as a Countermeasures Specialist and brings a tremendous amount of technical expertise to the table. Robert has managed TSCM surveys for a wide range of clients from small business to Fortune 500 companies and international financial institutions. Robert joined Spellings & Associates in 1998, working alongside technical specialists including former FBI, CIA and NSA agents. He has completed training at several advanced countermeasures training schools. Robert's background also includes experience in electronic security risk assessments, design and installation of security/fire alarm systems and biometric intrusion detection/access control systems.
